Admissions

Dolce Casa Montessori is a small nature nursery for children 0–3. Places are offered in line with our Montessori ethos, prioritising calm routines, strong relationships and consistency for each child.

Minimum attendance

Children must be booked for at least 2 core sessions per week (either 2 separate days or a funded 2-day package). This ensures emotional security and supports consistent learning routines.

Funding & attendance packages

We accept eligible government funded hours for babies and toddlers. Funded hours are offered in fixed packages:

15 hours funding: 2 days (9:00–3:00)

30 hours funding: 4 days (9:00–3:00)

30 hours funding: 3 days (9:00–3:00) — subject to availability

Non-funded children may attend 2–5 days per week, subject to availability.

Consumables (meals, snacks and materials) are only charged separately when a child is attending on funded hours. Full-fee places already include these costs.

Priority of places

We give priority to:

Children booking 3, 4 or 5 days per week

All-year, full-day attendance

Siblings of children already attending

All offers depend on age-group space availability and staffing ratios.

Registration process

Families are invited to book a visit to see the nursery and meet the team

If you wish to proceed, you will complete a Registration Form

A registration fee and/or deposit may be required — see our Fees page

Start dates are confirmed once paperwork and payments are received

Settling-in

We offer a gentle settling-in period tailored to each child, starting with short introductory sessions with a parent present, followed by gradual separation.

Equal opportunities & additional needs

Dolce Casa Montessori is committed to inclusive practice. We welcome children with additional needs and work closely with families and external professionals. Admission for children with more complex needs depends on whether we can safely meet their requirements within our environment and staffing ratios.

Changes to bookings & notice period

Any changes to attendance and notice to leave must be given in writing, in line with our Parent Contract and Fees Policy.

Transition to primary school

Dolce Casa Montessori supports families during the transition to primary school nurseries and Reception. We liaise with schools, share transition notes, and help your child prepare confidently and calmly. Children already enrolled with us may continue attending even after turning four while waiting for their primary school place.

We’d love to show you around and answer any questions.
